Job Summary: As the Management Accountant for Johnson & Perrott Motor Dealerships, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial reporting across our dealership network. Your role will be instrumental in budgeting, forecasting, financial control, and supporting operational decision-making. You will work closely with the Dealership Head of Finance along with the Dealer Principals and department heads to drive commercial success while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and group policies.
Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
Produce consolidated monthly management accounts for the dealerships within set deadlines, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Review and analyse financial performance at dealership level, highlighting variances, risks, and opportunities.
Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts in collaboration with dealership management teams.
Maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations and uphold financial controls across all entities.
Calculate and prepare monthly commissions and bonus schemes.
Oversee regular stock takes and coordinate internal audits to ensure integrity of financial data.
Manage VAT, VRT, and other statutory compliance submissions, ensuring deadlines and regulatory requirements are met.
Act as a business partner to Dealer Principals and department managers, providing commercial insight and financial guidance.
Ensure adherence to group accounting policies, statutory standards, and manufacturer financial reporting obligations.

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within the motor industry or a multi-site environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Commercially minded, capable of translating financial data into actionable insights for operational teams.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business.
Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in Keyloop considered an advantage.
Highly organised, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
