About Us: Established in 1980, National Truck & Van Rental has accumulated extensive expertise in commercial vehicle hire over the years. As a part of the Johnson and Perrott Motor Group, we are excited to invite applications for a Parts Advisor to join our Ballycoolin team.

Job Summary: The Parts Advisor will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our HGV /LCV workshop maintaining a varied fleet of over 1300 vehicles across many different brands.

This individual will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and supplying automotive parts to our workshop and the accurate recording of parts to Job cards, The role requires excellent product knowledge across a wide range of manufacturer’s. 

Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:

• Assist technicians and internal service teams with parts identification and supply.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to order and track parts deliveries.
• Process parts deliveries, input supplier invoices and locate stock to shelves in the stores area.
• Check stock levels, inventory, and ensure accurate record-keeping using the company’s parts management system.
• Support the Parts Manager in maintaining stock control, returns, and replenishment processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts counter and storage area.

Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a parts advisor or similar role (automotive or commercial vehicle industry preferred).
• Strong knowledge of vehicle components and aftermarket parts.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with parts management or dealer management systems (Keyloop point of sale preferable)
• Good computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Desirable:

• Experience with commercial vehicle parts (trucks, buses, light commercial vehicles).
• Forklift license
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Professional, positive can-do attitude.
