MBAAI National Strategy Competition

Johnson & Perrott was proud to be represented at the MBA Association of Ireland National Strategy Competition, held in Dublin last week. Marketing Manager Jerry Crowley participated as a judge in his capacity as Southern Chapter Director and committee member of the MBA Association of Ireland, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that connect industry, education and future leadership.

The annual competition brings together MBA teams from leading institutions across Ireland to tackle real-world strategic challenges. This year’s brief asked participants to explore how Ireland could position itself as a global leader in the emerging autonomous vehicle sector — a topic closely aligned with the evolving mobility and transport landscape.

Teams from DCU Business School, Dublin Business School, TU Dublin Graduate Business School and the University of Limerick MBA demonstrated impressive levels of research, strategic thinking and collaboration in what proved to be a highly competitive final. DCU Business School secured the overall win, delivering a compelling strategy under significant time pressure.

Individual presentations also stood out on the day. Grainne Sutcliffe was recognised as Best Speaker, while Michael Cawley received the Commendable Speaker award, highlighting the strong calibre of communication and leadership skills on display throughout the competition.

At Johnson & Perrott, we recognise the importance of engaging with forward-looking conversations around mobility, logistics, sustainability and the future of transport. Events such as the National Strategy Competition provide valuable opportunities to bridge academic thinking with real-world industry insight, while supporting the next generation of business leaders as they address complex challenges facing the sector.

We extend our congratulations to the MBA Association of Ireland, the organising team and all participants for delivering an excellent event, and to Aptiv for hosting the competition. Initiatives like this play an important role in shaping the future of Ireland’s mobility ecosystem and strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.
