Introducing the Peugeot 2008

It was hard not to like the previous Peugeot 2008, it managed to capture all the quirky and fun characteristics of the successful 208 hatchback and add in a big old dollop of practicality and off-road goodness. So, you don't need 20/20 vision to see why we're excited by this generation of 2008.

Peugeot have incorporated plenty of new technology that is guaranteed to improve the driving experience daily, while the introduction of electrified powertrains is certainly welcome in this day and age.

It's got a fresh and modern look too, so you'll be catching eyes as you drive by in one of the most technologically advanced small SUVs you can buy today.

Design and Practicality

The designers at Peugeot have really upped their game over the last decade, and we're sure you'll agree with us when we say that this generation of 2008 continues their excellent run of form.

The front of the car looks assertive without being overly aggressive, while the signature 3-claw full LED headlights and striking front grille add an air of contemporary sophistication.

Head to the rear and Peugeot have beautifully executed a daring design; we're particularly big fans of the gloss black rear cluster connecting strip, which is enhanced by the full LED lights. It's a practical car too, with plenty of interior room and a generous amount of boot space.

Interior and Technology

If you thought the exterior of the 2008 was good, then you will love the interior. New PEUGEOT 3D i-Cockpit® takes centre stage, pairing with a 10" HD touchscreen to provide an immersive driving experience that is complemented by clever tech such as TomTom® Traffic and Wireless Charging (depending on spec).

Advanced Grip Control® is included, which offers a variety of driving modes that are designed to optimise grip on several different road surfaces, which makes the 2008 very versatile.

The interior design stands above rivals with a unique appearance that is beautifully finished with a host of premium feeling materials. Add in the potential to spec a Panoramic Opening Glass Roof and Focal® Hi-Fi Sound System and you have a very enjoyable place to spend time daily.

Economy and Performance

Peugeot know a thing or two when it comes to creating engines, it's why they've won numerous awards. Unsurprisingly, the latest generation of those excellent BlueHDi diesel and PureTech petrol engines are available in the 2008, with up to 155 bhp available for those who require a bit of spice in their lives. Opt for the EAT8 8-speed automatic gearbox if you want extra flexibility and efficiency.

For the first time, Peugeot are offering the 2008 as an all-electric variant, aptly known as the 'e-2008'. The electric motor provides 136 bhp and instant torque at any speed, making it perfect for any type of driving you do.

With zero emissions and a range of up to 310km, the Peugeot e-2008 is taking SUVs to the next level.
