At Johnson & Perrott we provide a Trainee Accountant Academy, supporting participants to undertake an Accounting Technician Qualification, and or supporting them through their ACCA / CPA journey to become a qualified accountant. 

What do I learn as a Trainee Accounts Assistant?

During your training you will learn:

  • Best practice monthly management reporting and KPI’s
  • Reconciliation practices for bank payments and vehicle invoices
  • Cost Control and accrual schedules
  • Financial Reporting for Finance Partners
  • VAT & VRT Returns
  • Audit Preparation
  • Inventory Controls 
  • Debtors Reporting
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation 

How Long is the Trainee Accounts Assistant Program?

The program length varies based on your chosen qualification pathway. Those who opt to qualify as an accounting technician will complete their course over 24 months, while those pursuing their ACCA qualification may take up to 4 years to achieve their qualification.

Training
In addition to on-the-job training from your mentor, you will be required to undertake further education with your chose awarding body and will be supported by the company to do this.

Progression

An individual who undertakes a Trainee Accounts role can progress to roles within accounts payable, accounts receivable or as a qualified accountant.
