Job Summary: This opportunity is designed specifically for Automotive students looking to gain practical, real-world experience in a busy dealership environment.
As a Trainee Parts Advisor, you will work closely with our Aftersales and Parts team, gaining exposure to core dealership operations including customer service, stock control, parts sourcing, and workshop support. This role also offers additional summer work hours, providing further opportunity to build experience and industry knowledge.
Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Customer Service: Supporting professional customer interactions and learning dealership service standards
- Parts Operations: Assisting with goods inwards, stock management, labelling, and organisation of parts
- Order Processing: Helping manage daily orders and supporting sales opportunities within the Parts Department
- Parts Sourcing: Using manufacturer systems and online platforms to locate and price automotive parts
- Administration: Supporting CRM updates and general dealership administration tasks
- Workshop Support: Ensuring timely delivery of parts to technicians and service advisors
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with experienced Parts and Aftersales colleagues in a fast-paced environment
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Currently studying Automotive Technology or related course.
- Strong interest in developing a career within the motor industry
- Basic IT skills and willingness to learn dealership systems
- No previous dealership experience required, placement is designed for learning and development
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow processes accurately
