Ford Returns to Johnson & Perrott – New Franchise Launches at Mahonpoint

Johnson & Perrott Motor Group is proud to announce the arrival of the Ford franchise to its Mahonpoint dealership in Cork, with orders being taken from October 1st, 2025.

This marks a significant moment in Cork motoring history. Johnson & Perrott first sold Ford vehicles in the city as far back as 1911 — three years before the famous Ford factory was built on the Marina. Old newspaper adverts from the time show the Group’s early connection with the Blue Oval, making this new partnership both a return to heritage and an exciting new chapter.

The Mahonpoint showroom will serve as the dominant Ford dealership in Cork, offering the full Ford passenger car range while placing particular emphasis on commercial vehicles, including the market-leading Transit family and rugged Ford Ranger.

The Mahonpoint location will soon undergo significant renovations as Johnson & Perrott prepares to welcome Ford customers in style. The site will feature a newly dressed Ford showroom alongside a dedicated Ford Transit Centre to serve commercial customers. In addition, the Group will be expanding its service facilities, ensuring that Ford owners in Cork benefit from a full range of approved servicing and aftersales support.
