Johnson & Perrott Motor Group has great pleasure in announcing the appointment of Richard Martin as a Non-Executive Director of the Group.  Richard is the Managing Partner of RDJ, one of Ireland’s leading law firms employing 260 people in Cork, Dublin and Galway. 

Richard graduated from UCC with a business degree and subsequently from Nottingham Trent University with a Master’s Degree in Law.  He qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and was appointed a partner at RDJ in 1995, subsequently becoming Head of Litigation.  In 2012 he was appointed Managing Partner of the firm and has now commenced his third term in this role.  

Outside of RDJ, Richard is a Director of the Cork University Hospital Charity and of the Glucksman Gallery at UCC.  He is also Chair of the Barryscourt Trust and a member of the Board of Management of An Scoil Nasiunta an Chroi Naofa.  He is a former Director and Secretary of Cork Chamber of Commerce.  A keen cyclist and swimmer, Richard is also a former Rear Admiral of the Royal Cork Yacht Club and is currently a Trustee of Cork & County Cricket Club.

As part of our Corporate Governance structures, Johnson & Perrott has had the benefit of the wisdom and advice of a number of non-family non-executive directors, and we are honoured to have someone of Richard’s calibre and experience joining the Board.
