Job Summary:  As a Receptionist & Showroom Host at Johnson & Perrott Volvo, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing a warm welcome and delivering exceptional customer service. Your role includes managing front desk operations, handling inquiries and ensuring the showroom remains a premium and inviting environment. You will support the sales and service teams by coordinating customer visits and assisting with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To: 

  •  Provide a warm and professional welcome to all customers and visitors upon arrival at the showroom, ensuring a premium experience.
  • Efficiently manage incoming telephone calls, directing them to the appropriate departments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Offer hospitality services, including tea, coffee, and water, to enhance the customer experience while maintaining a high standard of service.
  • Maintain ownership of the customer journey until they are attended to by the relevant department, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Engage with customers who are waiting, building rapport and ensuring they feel valued and attended to at all times.
  • Take a proactive approach in managing all reception-related tasks, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the front-of-house area.
  • Oversee petty cash management, creating timesheets, processing fuel expenses, and invoice verification with accuracy and accountability.
  • Handle the distribution of mail and courier deliveries and arrange transport services such as taxis when required.
  • Provide administrative support to the Sales Administrator as needed, ensuring operational efficiency across departments.

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a client-facing role.
  • Previous experience managing a high-volume switchboard is advantageous.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of working collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both colleagues and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach to service.
  • Professional demeaner with a consistently high standard of personal presentation.
  • Proficient in PC applications, with experience in CDK considered an advantage.
